Director of Quality Management Metropolitan New York Area The Director of Quality Management drives the continued development and direction of the Quality Management Plan and the annual work plan, in tandem with the Quality Management Committee. This position spearheads adverse outcomes and targeted diagnoses, preventive health care and medical record audits, medical care evaluation studies and focused studies, quality-related complaints, ancillary provider assessment, regulatory reviews compliance, and clinical guidelines and standards. Importantly, the Director performs an annual evaluation of the QM Program, and develops a new annual work plan, accordingly. Qualified candidates will hold a Master’s degree with specialization in Hospital Administration, Health Care Administration, Administrative Medicine or Public Health from an accredited college or university. Resumes should include six or more years of high-level responsibility in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration or an equivalent field. Alternatively, an Assistant to a Hospital Administrator role with direct responsibility for a major part of a hospital’s operations, including activities endeavoring to meet community health needs, will be considered. Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of hospital organizations, business and human resources administration principles, and management functions and processes within a hospital setting, along with ability to direct and supervise personnel, is expected. Excellent communication, written and analytical skills and knowledge of managed care information systems are highly preferred. Registered Nurse licensure or a medical degree would be beneficial, as would clinical or managerial experience. A Directorship or an Associate Directorship of a Managed Care organization’s Quality Management program would be ideal. NCQA or JCAHO accreditation experience is preferred, but not required.
