Program Director Norfolk and Columbus, Nebraska As our Program Director, you will ensure the overall function of the facility remains in compliance with both program and licensing guidelines, and that the care provided is consistent with the vision, mission, and treatment philosophies of Behavioral Health Specialists, Inc. You will manage between 12 and 20 employees in the Residential Programs, and drive the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Your supervisory responsibilities will extend to interviewing, hiring, and training employees, as well as the planning, assigning and directing of work and appraising performance. You’ll address complaints and resolve issues. To qualify, you should hold a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, healthcare administration, psychology, or a closely related field, and possess a minimum of three years’ experience in the treatment of children and families. Alternatively, you may have four to ten years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. As a licensed mental health provider (LMHP), you will be well versed in the components of effective substance abuse programming and in personnel management practices. Expertise in budget development is expected; a Nebraska driver’s license with an insurable driving/safety record is required. Knowledge of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services system and NDHHS licensing and medical regulations would be a plus. Effective verbal and written communications skills, along with excellent policies/procedures development and demonstrated management capabilities are strongly preferred. Finally, expertise in creating and providing integral treatment approaches necessary to working with patients who have received a dual diagnosis would be optimal.
