Position Responsibilities: Manufacturing Engineer is to design and develop manufacturing systems with emphasis on new molds and molding processes.
Other key responsibilities include: •Design and develop new molds, molding processes, techniques, process improvements and cost reductions, •Conduct data analysis and progress reports on existing manufacturing processes •Perform analysis to determine root cause of failures or complaints •Procure new equipment and necessary training as required. •Repair or facilitate repair of equipment or facilities in the manufacturing area •Provide process and/or equipment training to technicians and associates •Develop strategic supplier relationships
Education & Experience Requirements: •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred •Minimum 3 years experience in a medium volume manufacturing environment (injection molding, die casting, machining, assembly, etc.) •Knowledge of statistical techniques (design of experiments, measurement R&R, and statistical process control) •Working knowledge of machining, tools, fixturing, and assembly practices •Knowledge and working experience with mechanical (indicators, micrometers, etc.) and electronic metrology instrumentation (CMM, Interferometer, Confocal microscope, etc.) Is preferred •Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems •Experience with PLC, data acquisition, and industrial software programming is preferred. •Advanced PC skills with standard MS Office software. •Experience with 3D CAD is preferred •Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills

Essential Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred). •About 2+ years of hands-on experience (non management) in a manufacturing environment involving Plastic Injection Molding or Thermoset Molding. •Experience working on the actual molds in the tooling part of plastic injection molding, taking apart and adjusting molds on a regular basis. •Experience with: die casting, machining, assembly, indicators, micrometers, electronic metrology instrumentation, CMM, Interferometer, Confocal microscope, PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, 3D CAD.
