Lovely original 1970 TR6R, the last of the best of Meriden, UK before oil-in-frame. Bike has never been chopped or altered from original and it retains a perfect stock appeararance. Some say it is preferable to the Bonneville because it is easier to tune. New Amal concentric carb, new Dunlop original equipment tires on balanced and tuned wheels with chrome spokes. New wiring harness. New Pazon electronic ignition, which is the premier replacement ignition, and Tympanium voltage regulator (no black box) but old points and condenser have been retained - rectifier has been removed but is still available and Zener Diode remains on the bike for appearance purposes only. New Yuasa battery which is correct for the bike. Bike was "donated" by my brother who purchased it from a dealership in California on or about 1990 and refurbished by the owner in 2014 at which time most of the above mentioned new parts were added. Bike was not equipped with a choke when purchased and appears never to have been so equipped but starts on first kick provided the carb has been properly bled. The clutch operates flawlessly. Paint work was done by Don Hutchinson of Massachusetts in the late '90s. For all intents and purposes, riding or showing, this bike is highly sought after and a genuine attention getter.
