Project Manager South Florida As a Project Manager professional, you will establish a work plan (with a primary schedule and weekly updates), develop the budget and assign staffing for each phase of every project. You will monitor the performance of field operations, prepare subcontractor scopes (in P6), negotiate contracts and buyout, and spearhead change-order management. Through utilizing the appropriate safety and QC resources, you will consistently assure safety and quality effort for every project. Importantly, you will build and maintain strong client relationships in order to ensure repeat, profitable business. To qualify, you should hold a solid Construction Management degree from a notable institution, such as the University of Florida, and possess five years’ experience as a Project Manager. A successful track record with a top-notch general contracting company—one either based in Florida or with a strong presence in Florida—is sought. Projects should span a variety of markets, including Municipal Work, Higher Education, Healthcare, Public Schools, Assisted Living, Multifamily and Country Clubs, and more. A proven ability to lead and manage a team, resolve disputes and foresee potential cost or schedule issues would ensure success in this role. Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office, Expedition, SureTrack, and P6 (or equivalent) are required.
