Design Engineer Dallas, Texas As an experienced Civil Engineer with strong design, Solidworks and AutoCAD skills, you will plan and produce tensile-structures construction drawings and documents (steel and concrete construction, foundations, site plans, calculations reports, etc.) and steel manufacturing shop drawings. Other responsibilities will include the creation of advanced 3D models for tensile structures, and the provision of solutions and alternatives to specific project conditions through collaboration and interaction with engineers and the sales team. To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with an emphasis on Structural Engineering and/or Metal Mechanics Design (Civil Engineering is a plus), and possess at least five years of experience in an engineering, construction or manufacturing environment. Your strong theoretical background will showcase specific knowledge relating to designing and constructing steel and concrete structures, and hands-on experience engineering steel structural components and/or tensile structures (AISC, ACI, ASCE, and IBC). Strong Auto-CAD experience, both in 3D and 2D, is a must; strong Solidworks experience is desired, but not required. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. A record of successful deliverables as an engineer, and as an individual contributor to team objectives, with the ability to work closely with others is a deal maker!
