Proposal Manager Silver Spring, Maryland As Proposal Manager, you will assume overall responsibility for the completion of the Technical, Price, and Business proposal volumes. In addition, you will lead teams tasked with the development of compliant federal, state, and commercial proposals and related business development documentation. As Proposal Manager, you will champion all aspects of proposal development following bid decision, including the writing, review, publication, quality assurance, and delivery of complaint and responsive proposal packages. Above all, you will provide process and performance leadership to the proposal development team. To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, English, or a Technical field, or the equivalent in technical and research writing experience. An advanced degree, however, is highly preferred. Your background of five to seven years should showcase government proposal development and management experience, including proposal writing, management, and team leadership. Experience developing proposals for public health programs is preferred. Demonstrated ability to maintain clear, consistent, timely, and effective communication with proposal team members and other stakeholders is essential, as is experience managing two to three proposal efforts simultaneously. Knowledge of SharePoint for document control, collaboration, and collaborative editing would be advantageous. Experience with the capture and the proposal management cycle as defined by Shipley, APMP, or similar industry standard certifications, is required.
