Since 1981, the Sennin Foundation Center for Japanese Cultural Arts has offered reasonably priced Japanese yoga and martial arts training for children age five and above. We have one of the oldest and most well-established programs for young people in the SF Bay Area. Classes feature meditation, breathing exercises, mind and body unification training, and instruction in a traditional system of Japanese jujutsu. The practice is noncompetitive, with an emphasis on personal growth in daily life and the use of throwing and grappling techniques to control an opponent with a minimum of violence. Classes are small and semi-private, and we're conveniently located at 1053 San Pablo Avenue in Albany. The cost is $70 for 16 classes, and visits are by appointment. Contact us soon to make an appointment to drop by.
