Director of Nursing Duncannon, PA
In this active, hands-on role, you will champion the overall provision of nursing services, including the personnel management of the Skilled Nursing Unit, such as hiring, firing, training, disciplining, scheduling and supervising. You will develop and maintain nursing policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations, and standard nursing practices. Acting as liaison between our client’s facility and regulatory agencies, you will serve on the Quality Assurance Committee, Safety Committee and other committees as assigned. Relationship building will be key to your success in this role, from those you maintaining with residents and family members, to those forged with departmental managers and employees, as you work to resolve family/resident, and facility issues and concerns in a professional and ethical manner. To qualify, you must hold an RN degree or higher—a BSN is preferred—and possess three to five years’ experience in nursing administration. Your career path might include, DON or Assistant DON; possibly RN Assessment Coordinator.
