Software Engineer
Dayton, Ohio

In this challenging role, you will work closely with software architects in the design and implementation of future architecture. This will entail interpreting, translating and prototyping advanced software architecture designs into demonstrative systems, using physical and virtual machines. You will integrate and configure multiple, open-source software applications, including Apache Mesos, Marathon, Docker, ZooKeeper, Accumulo, and others, into a functional, highly available architecture. Finally, you will provide demonstrations and recommendations to government customers and development contractors regarding implementation, configuration and develop methods.

To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical field; a Master’s degree is desirable. Your knowledge will span RHEL/CentOS Operating Systems and VMWare, and you will be skilled at configuring and maintaining UNIX or Linux, SE Linux, and networking devices. You’ll need to be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, modify open-source code, and work independently with minimal supervisory direction. Experience with containerized application deployment tools, such as Docker, web-based applications, and server-based processing is desired. Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are necessary for success in this role. Finally, you must be able to qualify for TS/SCI clearance (current TS/SCI clearance preferred).

Riverside Research provides a competitive compensation program, which includes annual performance and salary reviews, and the gamut of employee benefits, including comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage, a flexible spending plan, short- and long-term disability and life insurance, a long-term care plan, a 403(b) retirement plan, a non-contributory retirement plan, paid vacation and sick leave, tuition reimbursement, and more. Most importantly, your development will be constantly challenged and enhanced by a broad variety of assignments and personalized attention from Riverside Research senior managers.
