Cases split and all oil seals replaced. Frame, swing arm, center stand and kick stand were sand blasted and powder coated. Tank, side panels, and head light components stripped and repainted using new decals. Front fender and fork cover re-chromed. New (sealed) battery, New front turn signals, New seat cushion and cover. Iridium plugs. New signal flasher unit. New tires and tubes. Rebuilt petcock and fuel cap. New dashboard cover. All signals, lights and horn work. Bike cranks right up and runs strong.
The tank had pin holes in the bottom, repaired with Caswell Plating Sealer, very strong/durable sealer. It will last for another 40 years. The speedometer needle had a screw that came loose. I opened the speedometer and secured the needle. It works perfectly. The mileage was not in any way tampered with. There are some light rust spots and pits on header pipes. Bike was a winter project that turned out nice.
