Lowered the bike with progressive shocks in the rear, new handle bars, moved the foot pegs back (rear sets) installed stainless brake lines in the front, put custom blinkers in the front and a trick rear license plate frame that has brake light, blinkers and running light all in one. The bike has been detailed and looks great. Paint is excellent. Chrome is great as well. I do have the parts to put it back to stock height and can reinstall the stock foot pegs as well. I`v included the listing from the person I bought it from as he had a good list of the things he had done. Original ad read as follows: This is a beautiful example of the penultimate year for Generation One of the iconic Yamaha muscle bike. This one is ideal for the rider who finds the too-fast stock bike plenty fast enough and is looking for additional comfort. This particular V-Max is senior owned and has been tweaked for luxury. The stock rear shocks have recently been replaced with Progressive 444 Series shocks that not only provide a plush ride but also soak up major hits like potholes. The Vmax flyscreen has been replaced with a far more protective Memphis Shades 15" windshield, and this bike has a more comfortable gel seat with red piping. A handlebar clock and thermometer have been added. This nicely broken-in V-Max has 18,967 miles with the following recent service or replacement items: new battery, 674 miles; new rear tire, 1770 miles; complete tuneup and professional carburetor rebuild , 1891 miles; new front fork seals , 2431 miles; front tire, 2910 miles. I'm running Spectro Platinum 4 full-synthetic 10W40 engine lubricant. This bike comes with a centerstand, service manual, original shocks and Vmax fly screen. It has never been raced, dropped or abused, and it runs perfectly.
