Scientific Affairs Manager Gaithersburg, Maryland In this highly versatile role, you will actively contribute to the development and implementation of scientific/CMC/regulatory strategy for products in development and post-approval. You will also coordinate all aspects of scientific/CMC/regulatory submissions relevant to their assigned projects or programs, and serve as the scientific representative on relevant project teams. In carrying out your responsibilities you will interact with Manufacturing and Regulatory, and communicate with those at all levels within the company. This is a remarkable opportunity to experience all facets of the product development/launch process. To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Chemistry or Biochemistry, and possess a minimum of seven years of related experience in the pharmaceutical industry. You must be both flexible and thorough in research, analytical and able to intelligently interpret all related data. Good problem-solving abilities is key. Proficiency with regulatory CMC, analytical testing and product development is required. Demonstrated scientific writing/technical documentation abilities would also be needed. Proven experience with submissions in Common Technical Document format and in pre- and post-approval CMC changes and strategies is also necessary. Other requisites include skills in using Microsoft Office, an ability to multi-task, and demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are expected, as well. This position involves traveling up to 20% of the time.
