Supply Chain Quality Engineer Los Angeles, California, and Atlanta, Georgia
Our client seeks a leadership personality who is driven to positively impact change and champion new product development and innovation. In this highly influential role, you will work in tandem with the company’s VP of New Product Development, Director of Safety, Quality & Compliance, and Director of Procurement in developing a process for establishing and managing sourced component expectations and deliverables. This will involve facilitating the communication and clarification of technical and service-related requirements between Design, Procurement, Quality, and Suppliers on new sourcing projects, supplier changes, material and specification changes. You’ll develop and implement quality plans with suppliers, as well as incoming inspection plans to verify specifications and increase supplier accountability. The ongoing leveraging of data will drive improvements.
To qualify, you should hold a B.S. Degree in Engineering or be a Certified Quality Engineer and possess a minimum of three years’ direct experience in Quality Management or Quality Engineering. Direct supply chain quality experience is preferred, but not required. Your overall repertoire will include Process Development and Auditing, Root Cause Analysis, Measurement Tools and Calibration, Statistical Methods, Data Analysis, and Employee Engagement and Training. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a customer-focused approach will enhance success in this position. Ideal candidates will be eager to expand their skill sets through advanced training. This role calls for frequent travel.
