Principal Mechanical Design Engineer Wilmington, Ohio As Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you will call upon your excellent analysis skills, advanced mechanical engineering experience and keen understanding of medical devices as you perform design and analysis to support research and development of patient-handling and ambulance-system products. You will lead the concept/feasibility phase, design activities, and review and report on the design’s progress. To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Engineering Technology or an equivalent technical degree; or possess the equivalent in combined education and experience. Our client seeks ten-plus years of related engineering experience, with hands-on experience constructing mechanical prototypes utilizing rapid-prototyping methods and equipment. Finally, you’ll need to be proficient in the use of analytical tools such as finite element analysis methods, computational fluid dynamics and other simulation tools for the design of mechanical structures. Working with our client, you’ll be rewarded with a competitive salary, and full employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) retirement plan and up to four weeks of annual, paid vacation time. What’s more, you’ll thrive in an atmosphere that is professional, yet free of a “super-corporate” structure. Finally, because our client is an international company with multiple locations, you’ll also enjoy a vast array of growth and advancement opportunities. (Position may require some travel.)
