Sr. Transmission Line Engineer Allentown, Pennsylvania
Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, where you will spearhead challenging electrical transmission problems. You’ll serve as our engineer on electrical transmission design projects, applying NESC, NEC, ASCE and other applicable standards to high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead and underground systems, voltage conversion and underground conversion projects, and new capacity and infrastructure replacement projects. You will also assist the team, as well as independently, in conducting engineering analyses; preparing bidding documents, plans and specifications, as well as material procurement and construction documents; and work with project planning, environmental, permitting and construction management.
To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering and possess six or more years of design engineer experience within the utilities industry, working with high voltages (200kV – 500kV). Full knowledge of NEC and NESC standards is expected; PLS-CADD software expertise required. PE and GIS certification is strongly preferred.
