As an ambassador or Harbor Healthcare, you will actively promote and restore your patients' health by effectively and sensitively employing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Moreover, you will contribute to our team effort by building a cooperative relationship among our healthcare teams via open communication, responding to requests, establishing rapport and participating in team problem-solving methods.
To qualify, you must hold a degree from an accredited School of Nursing and possess one or more years of direct experience, preferably, but not required, within a hospice or home health or nursing home environment. You must be willing and able to put the needs of patients and their families first, and possess clinical nursing skills, expertise in infection control, physiological knowledge, medication administration, health promotion and maintenance, and excellent communication skills, including a real ability to listen to others. RN licensure in the state of Texas and CPR certification are required. A current, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are also needed.
