NICU Nurses and Med-Surg Nurses Dothan, Alabama As our NICU Nurse, you will provide around-the-clock, critical care to premature and sick newborns, while offering emotional encouragement to parents and advice on how to take care of the infant when they return home. Qualified candidates must possess a license to practice professional nursing in the State of Alabama. A BSN is preferred. Previous experience in a Level III NICU (preferred), and/or previous experience (a minimum of one year) in a Level II NICU, and/or a minimum of two years in a Level 1 Well-Baby Nursery is desired. Certification in a Neonatal Resuscitation Program is required. Certification in S.T.A.B.L.E is preferred. As our Med-Surge Nurse, you will complete assignments made by physicians, provide routine treatment and post-surgical care such as wound care. In addition, you will assess changes in a patient's health status and perform various treatments.
Qualified candidates should hold an Associate’s degree in nursing. New grads are welcome!
