As our Sterile Processing Technician, you will receive, clean, decontaminate, assemble, disinfect and/or sterilize reusable medical equipment. You will also label, store packaging, charge, dispense, process and distribute equipment for patient care, according to the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD), the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), and the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) current standards.
To qualify, you should be a high school graduate (or hold a GED) with previous Sterile Processing Tech experience, and one year (or more) of Sterile Processing experience or another healthcare-related position. Sterile Processing Technician certification (CBSPD) from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) would be a definite plus!
