Seeking an HR Business Partner – NYHRBP

Our Client Company is America's largest state public power organization. Please submit your updated resume if you believe you may have the qualifications and experience I am seeking to fulfill their HR Business Partner position in White Plains, New York.

The HR Business Partner supports Business Unit leaders and their teams in the execution and development of HR programs and initiatives. The Business Partner understands his/her client group's strategic priorities, the business imperatives, and the customer’s business. This individual proactively consults with clients and recommends HR strategic solutions to improve critical business outcomes. He or she collaborates with HR specialists on the delivery of strategic initiatives. Importantly, the HR Business Partner serves as consultant and adviser to Business Unit leaders in the effective management of their workforce through implementing performance management; organizational design, analysis and implementation; change management; talent assessments; leadership development and succession planning.

Requirements:
(Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered.)

• Bachelor’s degree (HR, Business Development or Organizational Development preferred)
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a generalist or business partner
• Experience and knowledge in both functional and strategic aspects of Human Resources in at least two of the following areas: recruitment, organizational design, reward and recognition, leadership development, benefits, training and workforce planning
• Experience coaching managers in the design and composition of organizational structures
• Experience developing communication plans for business units
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, such as FMLA, COBRA, etc.
• Certifications indicating professional development (desired, but not necessary)
• HR experience in utility/technical environment is preferred but not required
