Lab Technicians and Chemists
Adrian, MI; Allentown, PA; North Canton, OH; Calvert City, KY; Chino, CA

Both of these roles successfully devise and execute project-testing plans, which, ultimately, lead to a unique position for the use of Wacker products in a wide variety of industry sectors. Specifically, these professionals perform various levels of lab tests and formulation work, depending on experience and ability. Responsibilities will likely involve QA Data management and following ISO-quality management standards/procedures for tactical, experimental and development purposes. Furthermore, as a Technician or a Chemist, you will continuously support and seek unique avenues for improvement and innovation. Although most of the work will be done in lab and production environments, periodic travel to customer sites may be required

Qualifications for the Lab Technician position include an Associate’s degree, at minimum, in Chemistry (or Biology/Geology), a practical and theoretical understanding of chemical testing techniques and calculations, and that of basic laboratory safety procedures. Computer proficiency (Excel, Word) is required, as well. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of experience in a chemical laboratory setting at a lead technician level with experience in calibration, and as a trainer, will be accepted. To qualify for the Chemist role, you’ll need a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer and Coatings Technology, or Chemical Engineering.
