Financial Analyst Columbia, Illinois
In this high-level, managerial role, you will oversee all the financial activities of the company, including the Corporate Finance Department, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments, General Ledger and Project Control Administration. You’ll directly manage employees, from hiring and training, to assigning/directing work, to conducting employee appraisals, to rewarding and disciplining subordinates. You’ll also resolve complaints and/or issues. Working with the Sr. VP of Finance, you will coordinate month/year-end closing processes and establish/maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data and, ultimately, enhance the company’s value. Two to three trips per year to various sites will be required.
To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (or equivalent in work experience), and possess five or more years’ experience in hands-on administration, with at least two years in a leadership role. Your background should emphasize heavy construction. Areas of expertise should be strong general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, income tax, and banking knowledge. Project accounting experience would be advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft programs, with strong Excel skills is expected; Axapta experience would be a plus!
