Business Development Manager – Modifications and Upgrades
San Antonio, Texas

In this diverse role, you will drive the development of business and growth opportunities for the organization, specifically, within the Aviation division of modifications and upgrades for the United States Department of Defense. You will serve as the primary business Modification and Upgrade/Special Mission development interface to the United States Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Foreign Military sales customers. You will be a master of customer relationship management and represent our client at trade shows and customer meetings. With a strong understanding of U.S. and foreign government requirements, regulations and roadmaps, you will work to develop successful capture strategies to obtain aircraft modification, upgrade and special mission contracts. An ability to assimilate available company technology and capabilities and translate those into viable customer solutions will help ensure success in this position. Travel (25% to 30%) is required.
To qualify, you should possess ten or more years in the aviation industry (fixed wing, only—no helicopter) with five to ten years’ management experience. Most likely, you will come from a high-level military career position, from which you will have gleaned knowledge of how airplanes work. (Beechcraft experience is necessary; C-12 is desirable.) Any international experience would be highly advantageous! Your background should reveal a very diverse career path with multiple elements, rather than a single concentration. A Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) is preferred, but not required.
