The Licensed Electrical Engineer works with multidiscipline design teams in providing senior electrical engineering services for heavy civil engineering projects in both the public and private market sectors. Services, which include design and construction support, encompass emergency and standby generation equipment installations; generator grounding systems; generator buses; generator circuit breakers; unit step-up transformers; power plant high-voltage switchyards; balance of plant electrical systems, such as medium- and low-voltage switchgear, motor control centers, DC battery systems, backup generators, etc.; protection, control and SCADA and grounding systems. The Licensed Electrical Engineer proactively coordinates with project managers, project engineers, clients, electricians, technicians, and subcontractors. In addition to leading technical assignments, he or she performs project technical coordination and administration, including but not limited to, writing reports, gathering information, and writing correspondence.
Requirements: (Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered.)
• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering • Five (5) years of relevant experience as an electrical engineer • Professional Engineer licensure (any state) • Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication • Self-motivation • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience with CAD software • Driver’s license in good standing • Ability and willingness to travel on company business, as required
