The Quality Engineer supports all Quality requirements for the 777 MLG/NLG program and other programs, as assigned. This begins by establishing an open rapport and serving as primary liaison and quality interface with external and internal customers. The Quality Engineer then conducts analysis and facilitates resolution of customer complaints and internal quality issues, and manages internal and customer corrective actions. He or she reviews and approves manufacturing plans and technical documentation, and develops Quality plans that meet customer, regulatory, and HDI QMS requirements.
Requirements: (Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered.)
College or university degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education/training/experience Five to ten years aerospace Quality experience with knowledge of ISO 9000/AS9100, FAA regulations, part inspections and conformities, corrective/preventive actions, and root cause analysis, proper use of inspection equipment, and internal auditing Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Previous customer relations experience (preferred) Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to work effectively with a team that is focused on problem solving Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, and within tight deadlines Strong ability to make Quality decisions while remaining customer focused Proficient in MS Office computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
