Our Client Company is one of the largest large-diameter line pipe companies in the world, manufacturing and supplying some of the most critical pipelines around the globe. They are currently seeking a Yard Supervisor in Little Rock, AR. The salary is 60K – 65K dollars, depending on experience, with relocation assistance available.
The Yard Supervisor manages and coordinates all activities of workers engaged in loading, unloading, storing, transferring, and distributing materials such as steel coils, steel pipe, miscellaneous parts, materials and lumber, in the yard of the industrial plant. He or she plans, organizes, directs and controls all aspects of material movements, and provides direction to the yard staff in meeting safety, quality and productivity goals, while setting—and communicating—clear goals for ongoing yard performance. Furthermore, the Yard Supervisor establishes and/or adjusts work procedures to adequately meet production schedules, and suggests changes in working conditions/use of equipment to increase efficiencies of shop, department, and work crew performance.
Requirements: (Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered.)
• Fifth-year college degree or university program certificate; or two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Professional demeanor with an ability to create an environment of respect and appreciation • Good verbal- and written-communication skills • Excellent problem-solving abilities • Strong leadership skills • Computer proficiency with Word and Spreadsheet software
