Our Client Company is a leading independent owner and operator of wireless communications infrastructure across North, Central and South America. The annual salary is 150k dollars, plus a 50k dollar bonus, plus 70k dollars in equity (total of 270K dollars). Relocation assistance is available.
The Director of International Tax brings a highly developed expertise in tax regimes and rules across all international markets the company operates in, and all international markets being considered for expansion by the company, to this role. He or she spearheads the development and implementation of tax planning recommendations regarding to the company’s international operations, with a goal of minimizing its worldwide effective tax rate while maximizing its cross-border liquidity. He or she supports these recommendations with detailed documentation around international tax regimes and tax mitigation strategies. As an integral part of the “deal team,” the Director of International Tax champions all tax aspects related to acquisitions and other international market transactions, to include the design, development and implementation of planning and processes related to legal-entity structuring, tax treaties, minimizing withholding taxes, treasury and debt management. Requirements: (Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered.)
• BA or BS in Accounting, or an advanced degree in tax or law (highly desirable) • 10 -15 years of corporate tax experience in the tax department of a publicly held company, accounting firm, or law firm • Experience in the tax aspects of acquisitions and divestitures, including due diligence and post-merger integration • Ability to travel internationally (occasionally) • CPA (strongly preferred) • JD/LLM (a plus) • Broad exposure to international taxation • Strong analytical and reasoning skills • Fluency in Spanish (a plus!)
