Manager, Quality Assurance
Covington, Georgia
In this entrepreneurial role, you’ll champion the start-up of a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility designed to increase capacity for fractionation, testing, purification and fill finish for our client’s biologic medications. As Manager, Quality Assurance, you will spearhead all Quality Assurance activities associated with the Fractionation process, while implementing and assuring compliance with the quality system’s procedures. Moreover, you will identify and assess regulatory and quality risks in activities and processes, according to regulatory agency rules and guidelines, and company quality practices. Other responsibilities to include interfacing with regulators during inspections, and managing quality assessments of internal operations and suppliers in order to analyze compliance and assess risk. Support of technical transfer activities, EBM development and automation activities, as needed, will also be required.
To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, and possess five years’ experience managing large teams (20 to 25 people). You must have led, and/or project managed, large-scale projects, improved quality systems and have worked within the biotech and/or pharma arenas. You must be adept at team building and obtaining significant results. Problem solving comes easily to you, and you are fluent in influencing and negotiating with cross-functioning teams. Travel of up to a month’s time to other plants, both nationally and internationally, is required.
