Controls Engineer
Columbus, Mississippi
In this highly technical role, you will support the machining department and plant-wide electrical and control systems. You will design and implement controls improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve reliability. To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical degree, and possess a minimum of five years’ related experience. In addition to being familiar with risk assessments and safety evaluation, you must be able to manage multiple projects–even in the face of conflicting demands. Your areas of knowledge should include Profibus, Profisafe, Safety Integrated, and ASI-Bus; PLC Programming using Siemens Step-7 and WInCCFlex, and CNC Programming using Siemens Step-7 Powerline and HMI advance. Demonstrated ability to create and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and ladder diagrams, function block diagrams, and STL to effectively troubleshoot systems is expected. Knowledge of city, state, and federal electrical codes is required; knowledge of mechanical and safety codes is preferred.
