Judo, one of the most popular sports in the world, is a combat sport similar to the fight, but unlike this, competitors used thick jackets called judogis or gis. The gi allows different tactical approaches in judo in comparison with the fight, and some claim that, as a result of this difference, judo is a more technically oriented sport. However, judo athletes depend largely on the strength and conditioning to achieve success in their sport. Every judo coach should be aware of this, and it should work together with the strength and conditioning coaches to develop appropriate training programs for their athletes. This article presents some of the studies published in the literature related to the most common injuries in fight sports and will be made recommendations with regard to the strength training and conditioning for injury prevention and performance improvement. It is important to point out that the athletes and coaches must be open to discuss what is best for them. The methods that are described in this article
