YWCA Silicon Valley Domestic Violence Department

"I Wish. . ." Project.

Have you ever wished for something?
Do you remember how you felt when your wish came true?
By fulfilling the wishes of any of these women and children experiencing domestic violence,
you can help them to build violence-free lives.

Sharon's Wish
"I wish for my sons to have a space of their own to lay their heads down at night."
Can you, or someone you know donate a twin-sized bunk bed?

Jennifer's Wish
"I wish I could dress more professionally when I go to work. I have no money to shop for new clothes."
Please donate women's pants and shirts, sizes 2x & 3x in new or like-new condition, or a gift card to a plus size clothing store.

Laura's Wish
"I wish for luggage as I travel by train to my family members out of state."
Your donation of luggage can help Laura keep her belongings safely with her as she relocates to
live away from her abusive partner.

Helen's Wish
"I wish to give my two children an opportunity to succeed in their new school. We're now living in a Shelter. We were not able to pack everything we needed before we fled from our home."
Two children, ages 11 & 15, would deeply appreciate backpacks and school supplies.

These requests are real. The names are fictitious to protect the victim.
