Pipeline Automation Specialist Houston, Texas
As our client’s Pipeline Automation Specialist, you will apply your in-depth knowledge of process control systems in Gas Pipelines and Midstream operations and fundamentals toward various projects and/or tasks. Although your work will take place, primarily, within a team environment under the direction of senior technical and engineering employees, you will be expected to function independently, as well. This is a hands-on, client-centric position involving strong customer interaction, process and procedures, and the provision of sound solutions. Flexibility to travel up to 50% will also be necessary.
To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical, and possess 5+ years of engineering experience. (In lieu of a degree, our client will consider significant commensurate experience.) You must have 2 or more years of pipeline experience; 10+ years would be ideal. Seasoned engineers from a background in a large chemical plant or refinery will be strong candidates, as well. Solid experience in Midstream and Oil and Gas is an absolute. Other requisites include extensive PLC-Rockwell, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and Motor-Operated Valve (MOV), Custody Transfer and SCADA experience.
