Seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer - AYEHSE
Our Client Company is a Tier-1, world-class supplier of sunroofs for the automotive industry. The Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer champions hazardous waste management and disposal, air, water and waste emissions recordkeeping, and permit management, and spearheads management of a certified ISO 14001 Environmental Management Program. The Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer also prepares and submits quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting to local, state and federal entities. Additionally, he or she develops and conducts environmental- and safety-related training, investigates injuries/illnesses and reduction activities, and creates and implements a facility-wide ergonomics program. In addition to performing data collection and analysis, this individual ensures regulatory compliance with all applicable Health & Safety regulations and standards, including: Hazard Communication, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Machine Guarding, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Electrical Safety, and more.
Requirements: (Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered)
• Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts, EHS-related degree (strongly preferred; however, an exceptional candidate with excellent experience and qualifications related to the position may be considered) • Three to five years of an equal amount of experience in hands-on safety and environmental leadership and management within a manufacturing plant (preferred) • Knowledge of regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, BWC, etc., • Thorough, hands-on development of a proactive safety environment • Ability to work effectively with all internal departments, suppliers, customers, and outside regulatory agencies • Previous experience in certification and maintenance of ISO 14001 environment • Flexibility for coverage on all shifts as conditions require
