Our client has been at the forefront of the convenience store and travel center industry, serving truck drivers for half a century. They were among the first to offer self-serve gasoline and groceries, and have led the way in fresh deli sandwiches, quick-service restaurants and gift and novelty items, too. They’re passionate about accommodating drivers with clean, modern facilities stocked with plenty of fuel, food and supplies. With plans to double their profits within the next five years, and 300+ truck stops currently, they plan to build hotels for the traveling public wherever they find the land to do so. Senior Manager/Director of Hotel Operations Oklahoma City, Oklahoma As Senior Manager/Director of Hotel Operations, you will learn, grow and effectively run our client’s hotel operations business. This will entail a host of responsibilities, from working with our client’s real estate and construction departments to the identification, selection, building and running of hotel sites. You will champion standard operational procedures and business methods for field operations and adherence to the company’s hotel-franchise brand standards. You will recruit, train and supervise a complete support staff from hotel operators and multi-unit leaders, to admin support for the office headquarters. To qualify, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management (a Master’s is preferred), and 5 to 10 years in an operations role in the hotel service industry. Three to five of those years must include a multi-unit setting. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize, will be crucial. An ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and analyze and solve problems independently, along with excellent organization skills and a sharp eye for detail, are also essential. Most of all, you’ll need the ability to take a lead role in the development and implementation of new systems.
