Supplier Development Engineer Houston, Texas
As Supplier Development Engineer, you will support the Supplier Development Team’s objectives of improving supplier quality, achieving on-time delivery, and reducing lead times for the castings, electronics and machining commodities. This position works closely with suppliers, manufacturing, quality control, engineering, logistics, buyers and commodity managers. Project management and supplier development are strong functions of this role.
To qualify, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering and possess 5 or more years of relevant experience. Two years should have been spent in manufacturing, with another two in supply chain experience. Your background should consist of strong quality functions (implementing and developing). Exposure to machining, casting, and electronics would be a tremendous advantage. Additionally, exposure to casting, either on the purchasing side, machine or supply chain is highly desired. Importantly, you should be a process-oriented individual.
