Our Client Company is a world-leading specialty chemicals company. The annual salary is 95K 111K dollars, depending on experience, plus a 15 percent bonus target. Relocation assistance is available.
The Process Engineer III Biomaterials champions the performance of biomaterials process-development activities related to polymer synthesis and other manufacturing steps of polymers on various scales; authors supporting process documentation (URS, SOPs, Change Control, EAF, ETOP, etc.); provides technical input for the documentation and execution of validation protocols; leads biomaterials process development and design and synthetic procedures; and/or participates in, and supports, cGMP manufacturing activities. He or she must be capable of independently determining, developing, and evaluating scientific methods, strategies, and procedures in order to achieve project goals and objectives, with consideration to budget and time schedules; and also independently implementing and evaluating new methods, assays, and/or processes of increasing complexity. Finally, the Process Engineer III Biomaterials identifies and implements new technologies and/or instrumentation of suitable complexity under minimal supervision.
Requirements: (Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered.)
BS/MS degree in a relevant scientific discipline, plus five or more years of experience Demonstrated level of performance and capability in a relevant scientific discipline with sufficiently demonstrated level of knowledge and capability as determined by management Understanding of basic chemistry and polymer chemistry Thorough understanding and application of relevant scientific theories, principles, and methods; familiarity or general working knowledge of other related technical fields and applications Experience with a variety of standard and novel formulation, processing, analytical, and manufacturing methods, equipment, and instruments Excellent interpersonal and communications skills for interacting and articulating effectively with senior staff at internal company meetings, and with clients on technical aspects of experiments and research programs Ability and willingness to train people and supervise laboratory or technical activities
