United Council seeks to empower students and other impacted communities to advocate on their own behalf and shift systems of power to create real change in the lives of young people across the state of Wisconsin. The professional staff community at United Council is expected to execute all job responsibilities through a social justice framework using restorative justice goals and principles.

The PIC will be expected to spend approximately 50% of their time facilitating the coordination of the organizationís service division and issue committee meetings and work execution through the United Council structure. Approximately 20% of their time will be focused on building relationships with UW System Administrators and members of the WI Legislature in an effort to better facilitate communication with UW System students. Approximately 20% of their time should be spent facilitating and coordinating the empowerment of students through event planning of regularly scheduled statewide gatherings of the membership.
Additional duties will require the PIC to spend approximately 10% of their time assisting the Executive Director on various projects that help with the overall coordination of the organization. This includes but is not limited to scheduling, training, and assistance with organizational correspondence.
