Position Summary: Performs general store operations duties, including merchandising, recovery, cashiering, customer service, inventory control and freight processing. Provides direction to all associates regarding merchandising, inventory control and customer service when acting as manager on duty. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following) •Participates in and/or supervises freight flow, merchandise presentation and reconciliation of all sales, cash and inventory transactions. •Maintains a high level of customer service by supervising and/or participating in the processing of customer transactions, resolving customer issues, merchandising and recovery. •Provides clear work direction to associates and provides performance feedback to Store Manager. •Assists in control of shrink and safety results. •Ensures the appearance of the store's interior and exterior are maintained to standards. •Performs store opening and closing duties. •Assumes responsibility of total store operation when acting as manager on duty. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: •High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required. Must be 18 years of age. •Minimum two years retail management experience preferred. •Mobility to move freely throughout sales floor and stockroom on a continual basis throughout the workday required. Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds required. •Ability to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays required. •Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required. •Strong decision-making and problem resolution skills required. •Basic PC skills required. •Basic English literacy and math skills required.
