Business Software Trainer & Tech Support May. 2014 Reply to: Logiciel. Inc. is a small established software company providing world class business applications for the wholesale and retail industries. Our products include state-of-the-art, highly innovative solutions in Wireless Mobile Computing and Sales Force Automation . We are expanding and have an immediate opening for a full time, Software Trainer and Support Position. Responsibilities Customer Support: - With limited mentoring and guidance; demonstrate knowledge of Logiciel applications be able to apply that knowledge effectively towards training and advising end-user while quickly meeting self-sufficiency requirements. - Proactively contact and coach our users to ensure that client is ready for the anticipated tradeshow where our application will be used. - Train end-users on the use of our applications, both in-house and on-site Technical: - Troubleshoot and resolve technical support calls by phone, email, and in-person - Configure hardware (PDA & iPad), access points, computers and peripherals - Write, update and maintain user manual, training guide and procedural documents as needed - QA: Test applications for PC, PDA and iPad including function modifications, new features and bug-fixes. - Log testing results, versions and releases. Travel: - 5-10% paid domestic travel during peak Trade Show seasons on weekdays, sometimes extending into weekends. Some cities you will have the opportunity to see and visit: Dallas, New York, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Los Angeles. Some Desired Skills (helpful to have) - Any Training, Tutorial, or Technical support experience - Ability to convey concepts clearly over the phone - Attention to detail - Able to operate effectively on subjects outside comfort zone. - Excellent analytical skills in troubleshooting problems - Knowledge of the Wholesale and Retail Trade is helpful - Familiarity with setting up computers, peripherals and setting up Wi-Fi access points is helpful - Ability to interact with end user of varying levels of technical expertise - Ability to work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines in a small group environment - A professional, patient and friendly attitude with genuine desire to help others - An interest or knowledge of programming languages is a huge plus but not required. - Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills Benefits and Office Culture - Logiciel offers a casual, small group working environment. - Paid vacation and holidays - Health Insurance coverage - Our focus and passion is on providing state-of-the-art business software solutions backed up by superb technical support service. - We are located in Oakland's Embarcadero area.
