A private owned school in Urumqi China is looking for a qualified director/administrator detailed in the following description. If you are interested, please email your resume to and/or . Qualifications An American Caucasian, undergraduate or higher level, majors in early childhood education or relevant education. The applicant must have enduring teaching experience in early childhood education (i.e. kids aged from 0 to 6). A retired director or principal in good health is preferred. II. Assignments and Responsibilities The employee selected by the Employer takes on the position of Education Director of the Kindergarten, and undertakes the assignments and responsibilities as follows: 1. Curriculum Provision and Development: Introduce advanced educational concept, and be able to integrate it into the local reality in accordance with the characteristics of child growth at different ages. Constant improvement of curriculum system of nursery education is required. Be able to compile fascinating courses and textbooks typical of early childhood education that cater to the need of the kindergarten's development and expectations from parents. 2. Teaching Plan and Implementation: Work out school year teaching targets and programs addressed to different ages pursuant to the curriculum design system. Direct the teaching group to work on the compilation and print of teaching syllabus and teaching plan. Ensure teaching progress is completed. Work out all the teaching related management systems, including the systems of teaching quality assessment and appraisals. Oversee the implementation of all those systems. Take charge of auditing teaching resource information. 3. Teacher Training and Management: It's required, based on the realities of curriculum and school development, to lay down teacher's professional development program, initiate and organize diversified professional training. Undertake regular teaching research and scientific studies. Hold classroom observation, and exchange experience among teachers. Increase teachers' teaching competence by means of appraising teachers' overall performance. Rationalize allocation of teaching resources and coordinate teachers' interpersonal relationship. Create and sustain a work environment that is positive, united, cooperative, impartial and open. 4. Parent-Teacher Communication and Open House: Establish a Parental Committee of the Kindergarten, allowing parents to participate in managing the Kindergarten. Initiate creative and diversified forms of parental-child educational events as to how family education works. Build up and expand the communication channel with parents. Have a regular communication with parents on the growth of younger children. Set up a parental working regulation to integrate effectively with the Kindergarten, families and social education. III. Compensation and Benefits 1. Accommodations and fundamental facilities are provided. 2. Paid vacation of 2-3 weeks per annum (at the time of Chinese New Year). 3. A round trip flight ticket for family visit is reimbursed once a year. 4. Utilities fees such as water, electricity, gas and phones paid by employee. 5. Monthly pay of 8,000 to 10,000 RMB (appr. equivalent to $1,300 to $1,600 US Dollar), (excluding benefits on holidays). Note: As part of compensation and benefits, the end-of-year/school year benefits can be as much as 240,000 to 300,000 RMB (appr. equivalent to $40,000 to $50,000 US Dollar). The yearly payment of the lump sum benefits is subject to an overall appraisal of the employee's actual results and effectiveness for the past school year.
