POSITION VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT PVA #001 TRY-AGAIN HOMES, Inc. Mail To: 150 West Beau St. Suite 304 Washington, PA 15301 ATT: HR Or Opening Date: May 5, 2014 Closing Date: May 16, 2014 Program Service Area: Can Do Position Title: Security Aide Less than Full-Time (48 hours) Entry Wage: $8.31 Job Location: Washington Reports to: PA Community Based Service Supervisor CLEARANCES/LICENSES: - Final determination of suitability for employment will be contingent upon a successful Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint processed in accordance with Public Law 92-522 and the Child Protective Services Law (Title 23, Pa C.S. Chapter 63) as well as The Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and The Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check. All three Background Checks will be required before starting employment. - Current valid driver license -- available and reliable vehicle with proof of auto insurance and ability to transport clients. - Driver History Record QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION: - High School Diploma or GED. WORK WEEK: - Saturday thru Friday 24hrs/wk (varies) - Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends; available to work additional hours and /or to fill in as needed. - BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: - Maintenance of records regarding interaction with residents, medications, communications with other staff, supplies, etc. - Assistance of residents in basic living skills, such as, nutrition, meal preparation, menu planning, money management, shopping, laundry, hygiene, and grooming. - Supervision of daily chores to insure the residence is maintained to high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety. - Supervision of residents to maintain order in the living environment and at planned activities. - Serve as a role-model for residents. - Monitoring of medication, as necessary. - Facilitation of resident meetings and group sessions. - Supplementation of resident efforts, as necessary, in cleaning, laundry, and cooking. - Maintenance of cleanliness and order in staff areas. - Occasional transportation of residents by van or personal auto to appointments or activities. - Assistance and guidance regarding client emergency and safety. - Performance of monthly fire drills. - Purchase of supplies as needed and approved by supervisors. - Attendance at all trainings/meetings mandated by regulations and agency. - Remain on duty in residence until a qualified worker arrives for relief. Residence is not to be left unattended by staff.
