They will also be responsible for balancing at the end of the each day/week Summary: Responsible for working processing all unit-holder transactions for both registered and non-registered products. Responds to account inquiries, identify and resolve issues/and problems and provide administrative support for internal advisory channels. May be expected to master various specialist roles as part of their progression through the various roles in the department. Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor. Education/Experience: Some college education required. 2+ years industry experience. Experience in a specialty role (registered products, RESP, RIF, TFSA, Estates or Adjustments ) -- would be an asset. Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of processing transactions for RRSP, RESP, RRIF and TFSA products. Understanding of tax consequences for registered plans and non registered accounts. Experience in dealing with external dealers, fund companies and various government bodies. Experience in reviewing legal documents (e.g. Trust Agreements, Legal POAs etc). Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook & Excel. Working knowledge of PowerPoint and the Internet. Major Job Duties: Process all transaction types with a high level of accuracy. Verify proper paperwork is received and complete and ensure follow-up takes place for any outstanding issues. Process all financial and non-financial orders. Ensure compliance and procedures are adhered to. Analyze account problems and question transactions. Take initiative with problem solving and coming up with solutions. Identify processing inefficiencies and provide suggestions to streamline process. Document and update procedure manuals. Resource and support for junior staff. Strive to take a leadership role in department meetings and focus groups.
