Candidate must be a team player who has solid managerial skills and a strong work ethic. The candidate must possess the capability to thoroughly supervise and respond to deployment and logistic issues with timeliness and innovation. Preferred candidate should have a consistent job history and background in management of customer service, hospitality, retail and/or food service. The local program is guided by an Operations Manager, who is responsible for all operational aspects on a daily basis to include, recruitment, selection, training, deployment, supervision, reporting, procurement and overall quality assurance. After hiring and selecting employees we then employ the model of 'treating employees the way we want to be treated' in order to attain high levels of staff retention, which are unprecedented in the service industry. JOB SKILLS Focus shall be on all operational activities of the local program including administrative functions. These functions include: COORDINATE AND DEVELOP TRAINING - taking the lead on all operations and equipment training for all employees, certifying those that are qualified and have passed the standard maneuverability and knowledge tests. Ensuring compliance to all standards, procedures, and policies for operational activities. OPERATIONAL OVERSIGHT - responsible for daily guidance and direction of on-street operations. Creates deployment plans and mentors employees to maximize visibility and effectiveness of resources (personnel and equipment). Evaluates daily needs and employee performance recommending adjustments to the standard deployment plan while redirecting and training employees on better ways to meet the daily needs of the service district. HUMAN RESOURCES - recruits, selects potential candidates for hire. Trains, coaches and mentors selected staff to create a cohesive team of employees to represent the district. Proficient in providing evaluations and coaching plans to all employees. QUALITY ASSURANCE - ensures service expectations are being met through regular shadowing and mentoring of all employees; evaluates quality of services through measuring individual employee performances compared to expectations and overall program performance, making adjustments as necessary. CUSTOMER RELATIONS - actively engages customer representative and stakeholders to discuss local issues and to set a course for continual program evolution. Implements new local strategies and trains employees to continually improve service delivery. REPORTING - uses a combination of standard reporting processes combined with processes developed specifically to update customer on accomplishments and program effectiveness. HANDS ON - the Operations Manager is a critical element of the program's visibility and is expected to be a working manager to actively participate in daily cleaning and safety tasks and duties. REQUIREMENTS MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE - 3-5 years of verifiable management experience - Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions - Hotel or Hospitality Management preferred PERSONALITY - - Outgoing and upbeat personality COMMUNICATION - Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
