Relay Technicians and Commissioning Engineers Midwest Region
As a Relay Technician, you will carry out associated duties such as installation, testing, inspection, calibration and repair of all system protection devices, transducers and equipment on the customer’s electric transmission and distribution systems. You may train or lead lower-level technicians on job sites. To qualify, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience. (The equivalent in related work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.) As a Commissioning Engineer, you will function as the resident engineer on assigned projects and provide overall project planning, coordination and supervision of construction, commissioning and testing activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. To qualify, you should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years’ related experience.
Both positions will require extensive travel to substations to perform duties.
