Contact Trainer Directly: Heather 603-759-0961 References are available upon request, meet & greet is encouraged BEFORE committing to the program. Heather works out of Winding Brook Farm Equestrian Center, and offers a variety of lessons for the beginner or an advanced rider. Whether you are looking to simply trail ride or become a serious competition rider she will tailor a program to suit your individual needs. Depending upon your riding ability, you may choose from private, semi-private or group lessons. The lesson program will help you or your child become a well rounded horse person, learning how to safely be around and work with horses. If your goal is horse ownership, she'll educate you in all aspects of horse ownership, from proper care and handling to saddling, bridling, and of course riding. She can even help you find the best suitable equine partner. When looking for a lesson program, you should choose horse professionals who are well qualified to take your riding to the next level, choose a lesson program that is flexible to fit the needs of each student. Even if you've never touched a horse, seek out those who can help you gain the confidence and skill-set required to handle them, or if you haven't ridden in years, look for those who can help you regain your confidence, skill-set AND fitness. What to Expect from Heather's program at Winding Brook Farm Equestrian Center: *Safety is of the utmost importance. *ALL students will be required to wear proper attire (approved helmet, boots, etc..). *Each lesson will be customized to suit the individual's riding level and needs. *Students will choose which discipline they want to learn, but balance seat is always taught first. *The lessons will be part groundwork as well as part work in the saddle. *In order to guarantee you the utmost quality lesson, an evaluation ride is mandatory for all new clients. The 'Evaluation Ride' is the initial first lesson, in this lesson, the instructor educates the student - step by step - on the grooming and tacking up process. The student is evaluated riding the horse, usually done on a lunge line. *Students will learn how to properly handle a horse, not just ride. *Lead line work is limited to building the correct foundation and to establish confidence, students are able to safely progress to independent supervised riding.
