Summary The Human Resources Recruiting Assistant will work directly with the personnel of the Human Resource Department to build a database of retail merchandiser applications and resumes, screen applicants, and assist with the new hire process for the Field Operations teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Assure a continuous flow of merchandiser applicants on a national level to handle routine spikes in field merchandising recruitment by utilizing web based recruitment resources - Sift through applications and screen applicants to determine their suitability for placement - Conduct phone interviews for part-time field merchandising staff members to fill open territories, provide field staff members for new projects, or to replace field staff members due to turnover - Participate in active communication with the Human Resources Manager to provide feedback and updates on recruitment - Demonstrate effectiveness in the following areas: o Must be detail oriented o Must have excellent time management skills o Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience Requirements - High school graduate or GED diploma - At least one (1) year of recruiting experience in the retail merchandising industry Language Ability Requirements Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and other assorted personnel. Math Ability Requirements Basic math skills for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Reasoning Ability Requirements Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret both written and verbal instructions. Ability to anticipate and rapidly adapt to changing circumstances and situations. Computer Skill Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Excel and be internet and e-mail savvy.
