PLEASE SEND RESUMES TO The Cabana Café Cook (seasonal) has the responsibility of providing exceptional service and quality to club members and guests. Other responsibilities will include preparing food orders accurately and serving the customer. This role also assists with club events and membership events, working closely with the Café Supervisor and Social Director. This is a part-time seasonal position which begins on 4/1/2014 and ends on 9/31/2014 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned. • Special Events o Organize Member Inventories, tally sheets, corkage fees and invoices for all reservations, if applicable. o Organize all F & B services with Event Coordinator and / or Event Planner(s). • Cash Handling and Reconciliation o Maintain Cash Float / Petty Cash o Fill out and submit proper reports and balance sheets o Responsible for overages and shortages with on-duty staff. • Point of Sale / Signage o Use P.O.S. material to advertise and sell products. o Organize marketing and sales of retail goods o Organize displays, menus, etc. • Food Preparation o Ensures that all foods are properly and safely prepared according to standard recipes and be able to work all stations in the kitchen o Knows all product ingredients and additives (allergy awareness is important) o Maintains standard of quality o Perform food prep duties such as cutting, chopping, slicing, etc. as requested by the Café Supervisor. • Ensure that Cabana Café is clean and organized at all times. Wipe and sanitize all counter tops and sinks, keep floors and walls clean at all times, sweep and mop floors, ensure that maintenance pressure washes mats on a regular basis, keep all equipment, machines and appliances clean at all times. • Provide food and beverage service to all members and guests by cooking their orders, assembling orders and delivering orders to customers. • Check I.D. of all persons who appear to be under the age of 35 if alcoholic beverages are ordered, per ABC requirements. • Ability to operate hotdog, pretzel and nachos cheese machines, along with microwave and soda dispensers. • Keep all shelves and cabinets clean and dust free at all times. • Canned sodas and bottled beverages must be taken out of boxes and organized neatly in refrigerators and storage. • Restock food and beverage supplies as needed. • Inform Café Supervisor and/or Social Director if additional supplies or product is needed; including cleaning supplies. • Communicate and work well with others. • Perform other duties as assigned.
