THE POSITION OFFICES FROM THE WEST SIDE OF ORLANDO FLORIDA -- WINTERGARDEN AREA This is an ideal position for a Paralegal, who services several attorneys or a high volume practice. This position is slated to become a senior level position at the Regulatory Compliance Association (RCA). Additionally, we will consider someone with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience (based upon the duties outlined below) who worked for a continuing education provider, academic institution or similar content provider. The compliance environment continues to intensify as a result of escalating regulation and corporate initiatives. Consequently, a void developed in the area of compliance education. The RCA, a not-for-profit association, is the leader in graduate level education and continuing professional development within the field of asset management regulation and compliance. We are searching for a "hands-on", highly organized, driven, career minded individual dedicated to serve in a full-time (45 hours per week) senior position which will include some evenings, weekends. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Update website for new CLE/CPE webcasts and conferences (WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop, HTML/CSS) • Prepare email marketing messages (Icontact, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML) • Track, manage and secure course materials (text books, instructional aides, lectures, examinations and supplemental materials) • Weekly proactive oversight of course authors to meet materials dead lines • Schedule conference calls with course authors and guest lectures to review and revise materials • Serve as administrative support to course authors to revise, revamp and finalize materials • Assist in developing PowerPoints slides and course examinations (draft content) • Perform legal research and drafting of course materials (when assigned -- optional) • Publish finalized course materials to LMS (Training Provided) • Obtain Continuing Legal Education (various states) and Continuing Professional Education (NASBA and NY) certification of course materials • At inception and annually conduct Quality Assurance Review of course materials and compliance with CLE and CPE certification • Collaborate with Curriculum Advisory Group to support Marketing and Sales efforts • Respond to feedback and report/implement recommendations for product and content enhancements • Symposium Planning Duties, including submitting RFP to venues, publishing workbooks, producing Symposium materials, signage and other Event production activities • Daily Administrative duties, e.g., calendar meetings, making travel reservations • Provide weekly status reports Advisory Board Meetings • Research & Special Projects -- as assigned • Perform other tasks as requested • CHARACTER QUALITIES OF IDEAL CANDIDATE • Career-driven • Fiercely loyal, devoted, sincere, honest • Self-starter, takes initiative, prioritize activities, multi-task and work independently • SUPERIOR organizational, time management and project management skills • QUICK LEARNER -- when provided instructions/training takes copious notes, immediately revises existing RCA internal process documentation • Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point, and Social Networking sites. • HIGHLY ATTENTIVE AND DETAIL ORIENTED • STRONG WORK ETHIC -- performs above and beyond expectation • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Creative thinker with exceptional problem solving skills OPTIONAL Experience (favorably looked upon): - At least 4 years prior work experience as a paralegal or in administrative role for an understaffed law firm, continuing professional education providers, educational institution or similar content provider.
