Customer Service Representative (Travel Service Guru) Job Description: The Customer Service Representative will be primarily responsible for receiving both service and sales calls for customers travelling predominantly to international destinations. This person will respond to customer inquiries and provide high service levels, maximizing sales opportunities. Experience with ARC, airline ticketing, re-issuing, ticketing exchanges, re-pricing, refund and voiding knowledge, as well with experience working with AMADEUS or Apollo reservations systems is a huge plus. We require candidates to have completed a minimum of high school graduation or GED equivalent with travel agency experience and working knowledge of relevant computer programs a must. Our ideal candidate will also have a passion for travel, knowledge of the United States and World geography, and a great attitude. The position is for full and part-time agents. The Customer Service Specialist will: Provide exemplary customer servicing to incoming calls handling product enquiries, modifications/ changes to existing reservations, restrictions, special situations, general airport, departure, transfer or other information Work to effectively generate sales by researching rates and offering related ancillary travel products (e.g., travel insurance, bookings for cars, hotels, etc.) Provide outstanding customer experience by applying high service level standards Use good communication skills as well as apply internal tools and resources to resolve customer's needs in a quick and courteous manner Escalate and direct customer concerns to the appropriate department when required Effectively use knowledge of various administrative tools (Microsoft Office applications, CRM database, etc.) to service and support new sales Minimum Requirements: Must have 1-3 years in a role which utilized consultation skills and effective listening skills Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making experience required to effectively handle lower- and mid- level customer service issues Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Must be detailed, organized and an effective time manager Must be able to successfully prioritize and handling multiple customer priorities We offer sales and service training program for all new agents in a highly energetic start -up environment.​ We offer a competitive salary and benefits program, including 401(k) matching, medical and other benefits.
