We're one of few places in the US that make our chocolate from bean to bar: we source our beans directly and then roast, crack, winnow, grind, conch, temper, and wrap small batches of chocolate. In addition, we have a cafe that serves hot chocolates and pastries made with our chocolate creating a unique experience for our customers. Our cafe isn't large, but it serves a lot of guests each day. We aim to create an outstanding customer experience for our guests -- telling our story, sharing our passion for chocolate, and delivering seamless service. We are looking for a barista to help prepare and serve espresso drinks made with Four Barrel Coffee. For this position, we're looking for someone with experience on an espresso machine as well as having a passion for coffee and attention to detail. We take great pride in our chocolate, coffee, pastries, and hot chocolates and are thrilled to share them with the San Francisco community and beyond. The position entails: Learning about our chocolate, its production, and then sharing our story with guests Creating espresso drinks made with Four Barrel Coffee Cleaning and maintaining our cafe Engaging guests with thoughtful service Requirements We are looking for someone who is happy to talk to a customer and can demonstrate great skill in making espresso drinks, preferably someone with 2-3 years of experience working on a manual espresso machine. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to pull a balanced shot and pour well-formed latte art upon request. As we are a growing business, things continue to develop so it helps to be a quick learner with a great attitude.
